During the loading process MAGMA MAGIC (M Thackeray) became restless, broke through the front gates, dislodged Jockey M Thackeray and bolted the course. MAGMA MAGIC (M Thackeray) was taken in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ATTABOY (M Yeni) lost 1 length. b) WORLD OF OUR OWN (R A Venniker) was stubborn to load. c) MAGMA MAGIC (M Thackeray) broke through the front stall gates, bolted the course and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : (DA) a) BUDDY BOY (S Veale) raced green. b) COLD SHINE (C Murray) which had come to the end of its run, was not persevered with in the concluding stages. Thereafter Jockey C Murray reported that this gelding took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this gelding is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MAGMA MAGIC (M Thackeray), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 13/10/2025 to the 19/10/2025. MAGMA MAGIC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A J Rivalland was advised. (TM) d) KANAAL SKATER (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting on behalf of Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (DZ). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) COLD SHINE: Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) MOHAVE PRINCE: Pulled right hind muscle (Trainer advised 09h17/10.10.2025).
