THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING OF SILK (*T Mayhew) jumped slow, losing one length. b) As the start was effected, NEPAL CASHMERE (JR Syster) and ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE (S Moodley) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) NEPAL CASHMERE (JR Syster), WAR SUMMIT (MK Katjedi) and KING OF SILK (*T Mayhew) over raced in the early stages. b) ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE (S Moodley) over raced in the early and middle stages and was hanging in from the 300m. c) GAVIUS MAXIMUS (M Yeni) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m. d) Jockey S Moodley was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE he misused his crop by striking ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE more than 12 times (15) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Moodley signed an admission of guilt and was fined R7500,00. e) ONETWOBUCKLEMYSHOE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
