THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (M Yeni) was stubborn loading. b) KING VISERYS (S Naidoo) and POTENT CAPTAIN (MK Katjedi) were nervous in the stalls. c) CRUZADOR (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length. d) ARABIAN BLUE (K Minnie) and MANEKI NEKO (*B Soodoo) jumped outwards, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h58) b) The noseband on MANEKI NEKO (*B Soodoo) had to be replaced prior to leaving the parade ring, causing a delay. c) Shortly after the start CRUZADOR (C Zackey), which jumped outwards and BRIGHT FUTURE (E Webber), which jumped inwards, came together and bumped. d) Shortly after the start ARABIAN BLUE (K Minnie) was bumped out by MANEKI NEKO (*B Soodoo), which jumped outwards and thereafter, ARABIAN BLUE (K Minnie) commenced to over race in the early stages. e) KING RAHUL (*G Dookhit) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m and thereafter, Apprentice G Dookhit (KING RAHUL) dropped his crop at the 200m. f) Jockey E Webber did not persevere with his riding of BRIGHT FUTURE from the 400m and thereafter reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the performance of DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (M Yeni), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ARABIAN BLUE (K Minnie), Trainer AC Greeff will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. i) In view of the report from the Starter regarding DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (M Yeni), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 18/10/2025 to 24/10/2025 inclusive) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. j) KING RAHUL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
