The all clear for this race was delayed due to an internet connectivity problem. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRIORY TERRACE (R A Venniker) and was stubborn to load. Trainer A Wright will be advised to reschool this filly. b) SOL E SOMBRA (D Daniels) was stubborn to load. Lost 2 lengths. Trainer A J Rivalland will be advised to reschool this filly. c) CINNAMON COFFEE (J Jacobs) stood losing approximately 5 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) Shortly after the start PRIORY TERRACE (R A Venniker) which was slow into stride was squeezed out between PINK LACE (S Moodley) which jumped out leaving the starting stalls and AUSTRIAN BEAUTY (K Matsunyane) which jumped in. b) JENNY DARLING (S Hlengwa) hung in between the 350m and the 200m. c) SOL E SOMBRA (D Daniels) raced green. d) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that SMART STAR, which hung in from the 350m, did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CINNAMON COFFEE (J Jacobs), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 23.10.2025 to the 29.10.2025. CINNAMON COFFEE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer Y Govender will be advised. f) Trainer A J Rivalland was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate SOL E SOMBRA against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer Rivalland signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000. g) AUSTRIAN BEAUTY (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SOL E SOMBRA raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 21.10.2025/08h21). b) QUEEN FENN raced fitted with alumite bar shoes in front, alumites behind (advised 18.10.2025/07h50).
