THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KIA KAHA (J Mariba) was restless in the stalls. b) CLAIRWOOD ROSE (MK Katjedi) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) GLOBAL THUNDER (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that CHROME TOURMALINE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) GLOBAL THUNDER (P Mxoli) had to steady when GREEN FLASH (*S Valjalo) shifted out leaving the 200m. Apprentice S Valjalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of GREEN FLASH she failed to ensure that she did not cause interference to GLOBAL THUNDER leaving the 200m. Apprentice S Valjalo signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates to be advised) c) GREEN FLASH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Warren was advised. (MS) d) CHROME TOURMALINE, unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
