a) FIVE STAR MAGIC (C Habib) and SWEET CAKE (*B Soodoo) refused to load and were withdrawn, causing a delay. b) ELUSIVE BOMBA (C Zackey) kicked in the stalls, was taken out and reloaded. c) ZUMSEE (MK Katjedi) jumped slow, losing one length. d) MOVE TO THE GROOVE (K Minnie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Permission was granted for LOOKING GOOD (S Naidoo) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. b) MONEY GALORE proved difficult proceeding to the start and was led, riderless, by Jockey M Yeni from the 1000m. Trainer K Mitchley was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, she may be suspended. c) MOVE TO THE GROOVE (K Minnie) shifted inwards at approximately the 500m and was corrected at the 300m. d) MEDITERANNEANGLAME (E Webber) shifted outwards sharply away from the crop from approximately the 400m and thereafter shifted inwards. e) VINO RIOJA (Y Ramzan) shifted out away from the crop at the 400m and thereafter, took a number of awkward strides at the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) At approximately the 500m Apprentice G Dookhit (ATLANTIC PEARL) briefly dropped his right-side rein, which he regained immediately. Thereafter, Apprentice G Dookhit's crop became entangled in his reins and, at the 300m, he accidentally dropped his crop. g) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that GOLDEN ALEXIA took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding FIVE STAR MAGIC (C Habib) and SWEET CAKE (*B Soodoo) these horses starting stall certificates have been withdrawn and they are suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as they prove to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 25/10/2025 to 31/10/2025 inclusive) FIVE STAR MAGIC and SWEET CAKE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. i) UP UP AND AWAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
