THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) ORIGINATOR (G Wright) and MAGNUS THE GOOD (C Habib) were stubborn loading.
b) GLOBAL CHIEF (*B Soodoo) jumped slow, losing four to five lengths.
c) DIVO MONDO (E Webber) jumped awkwardly and made contact with the right-side front gate leaving the stalls.
d) AMERICAN EAGLE (W Agrella) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race.
b) NUCLEUR POWER (*N Nastili) was bumped inwards by MISSOURI FLAME (M Yeni) shortly after the start, which in turn was bumped inwards by DIVO MONDO (E Webber), which over raced and shifted inwards. Thereafter, MISSOURI FLAME (M Yeni) had to be steadied and directed outwards when awkwardly placed on the heels of DIVO MONDO (E Webber), which shifted inwards.
The Board has adjourned to review this incident.
c) AMERICAN EAGLE (W Agrella) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d) When attempting to improve into a narrow run leaving the 600m, DIVO MONDO (E Webber) brushed the inside running rail, had to steady and made further contact with the inside running rail when racing on the inside of MAGNUS THE GOOD (C Habib), which shifted inwards slightly.
Jockey E Webber appeared before the Board and was advised not to attempt a narrowing run, which could place him and other Riders in a hazardous position.
e) ORIGINATOR (G Wright) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m.
f) WARRIOR'S EDGE (C Little) shied away from MISSOURI FLAME (M Yeni), which shifted out sharply at the 300m.
g) DIVO MONDO (E Webber) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers)
h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GLOBAL CHIEF (*B Soodoo), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 25/10/2025 to 31/10/2025 inclusive) GLOBAL CHIEF may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
i) PIBE DE ORO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
