THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FOLLOW THE MASTER (L Nhlapo) and THE MIGHTIEST (C Murray) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with DUAL PROPHECY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that PAGE BOY choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey J Penny reported that MIZZEN SWORD took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine d) Jockey M K Katjedi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of OLYMPIAN GOLD, misused his crop by striking this colt more than twelve times (13), which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey M K Katjedi signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R3000 was imposed. e) FOLLOW THE MASTER (L Nhlapo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
