MELCHIZEDEK was slow into stride. At approximately the 500m MONTY PYTHON, whilst attempting to make its run, was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of ROCKY PATH, which rolled out marginally and was immediately straightened. BISHOP OF BOMBAY commenced to give ground to the field from approximately the 700m. Jockey Mjoka reported that this gelding was coughing in running. In view of the performance from WINTER CRUSADE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer Matchett will be requested to report back on the condition of WINTER CRUSADE on return to stables. CATEGORY FOUR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BISHOP OF BOMBAY raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: SHORT AND SWEET - coughing. WINTER CRUSADE - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. BISHOP OF BOMBAY - coughing.
