THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WALK RIGHT IN (C Orffer) and PACIFIC WATERS (M Yeni) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) In view of the performance of LILAC IN WINTER (G Wright), which proved difficult to settle in the early stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) WEDDING VOW (S Khumalo), which was taken in behind runners in the early stages from a wide draw, raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that ELISA MBALI coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the performance of LILAC IN WINTER (G Wright), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) BOOZY SUSIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised. (ZM) g) NANNIE GOLD, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
