THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) Shortly after the start TEATIME TIPPLE (A Mgudlwa) was tightened when racing in restricted room between ROOSTER BRADSHAW (K Matsunaune) and INGQWELE (C Murray) which rolled out. b) At the 1200m INGQWELE (C Murray) was carried out by TOP GUN (*J Botes) which commenced to over-race and rolled out away from the heels of DRICUS (S Moodley). c) Leaving the 200m TOP GUN (*J Botes) and INGQWELE (C Murray) were momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the outside of ELIZABEDI GOLD (C Little) which shifted out away from the crop. d) Jockey A Mgudlwa (TEATIME TIPPLE) accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. e) In view of the performance of POWER STAR (C F Dicken) (5.05 lengths, 50/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey K Matsunyane was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of ROOSTER BRADSHAW misused his crop by striking this gelding more than 12 times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey K Matsunyane signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R3000. g) DRICUS (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was advised (MM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DRICUS raced without blinkers (advised 06.11.2025/09h03). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) POWER STAR : Nothing obvious detected.
