THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GET IMPRESSED (M Yeni) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In a slow-run race, GARRIX (G Lerena), RED PALACE (C Zackey) and GET IMPRESSED (M Yeni) over raced in the early stages. b) At the 200m LEGAL COUNSEL (C Murray) shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened. c) Approaching the 100m SUGAR MOUNTAIN (G van Niekerk) was directed inwards and into clear running. d) In view of the performance of GET IMPRESSED (M Yeni), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) LEGAL COUNSEL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
