THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DEPUTY CHIEF (M Yeni) and PEMBURY (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) Approaching the 1200m ULTRA QUICK (*D Pillay) which over-raced in the early stages and raced with an awkward head carriage was eased when briefly tightened between TOWN CRIER (S Veale) and the inside running rail. b) Jockey R A Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with VIVA SPIRIT in the pull up area. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that PEMBURY raced with its tongue over the bit and took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning VIVA SPIRIT, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
