THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING OF SPIN (T Godden) lost 1 length. b) QUANDARY (M Yeni) stood and thereafter refused to gallop. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) In view of the Starters' report regarding QUANDARY (M Yeni) this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4 and until such time as it proves tractable jumping and galloping on terms on a race-day with a companion. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) will be advised. b) At approximately the 1000m ROLLO THE VIKING (*D D Louw) and ISIVIVANE (S Veale) came together and brushed. c) In the concluding stages CLAW (S Khumalo) and ISIVIVANE (S Veale) were carried out marginally by ROLLO THE VIKING (*D D Louw) which shifted out away from the crop. d) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with KING OF SPIN in the running.
