GO KITTY stood and lost five lengths. TRUE JEWEL lost one length. ZIVA NOIR was disappointed for a clear run between the 350m and the 300m. Jockey Moodley reported that HOPSKIPANDJUMP did not stride out freely in running. Jockey Marcus appeared before the Board and was afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which, in his opinion, contributed to the poor performance of AFRIEL. In this regard, he explained that, this was an inexperienced filly which raced awkwardly throughout whilst having its first run at Hollywoodbets Greyville and on the poly track. It was Jockey Marcus' view that this may have affected AFRIEL's performance. The Board noted the explanation of Jockey Marcus which was corroborated by the patrol films. In this regard, AFRIEL (A Marcus) was hanging out from the 300m when racing with an awkward inward head carriage. Notwithstanding this explanation, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine AFRIEL. Trainer Binda was requested to report back on the condition of this filly on return to stables. In view of the Starter's report with regard to GO KITTY, this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. GO KITTY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. MATADORA'S PARADE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MATADORA'S PARADE raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. HOPSKIPANDJUMP raced without cheek pieces. Vet: HOPSKIPANDJUMP and AFRIEL - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SELFLESS and FAST AS SILVER - change of venue.
