THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARIZONA MAGIC (C Zackey) was restless in the stalls. b) ONCEINABLUEMOON (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) KING OF SILK (*K J Lihaba), ELUSIVE CHARM (J R Syster), CULTURATI (M K Katjedi) and JET O WAR (L Nhlapo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, STOKESY (C Murray) and ANAHITA (M Yeni) came together and bumped. b) Shortly after the start, ARIZONA MAGIC (C Zackey) and ONCEINABLUEMOON (P Mxoli) came together and bumped. c) TRURO LEGACY (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Zackey felt something amiss with ARIZONA MAGIC in running and eased this gelding out of the race from the 800m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CULTURATI (M K Katjedi) hung in from the 200m. f) WORLD ORDER (C Habib) hung in in the concluding stages. g) In view of the performance of ANAHITA (M Yeni), (distance 15,65 lengths, betting 28/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) In view of the performance of JET O WAR (L Nhlapo), (distance 24,25 lengths, betting 50/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. i) In view of the performance of ELUSIVE CHARM (J R Syster), (distance 27,50 lengths, betting 40/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. j) Trainer M G Azzie was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate ANAHITA against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer M G Azzie signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. Race 4 contd. k) REAL STUNNER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
