THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COCOMELON (M K Katjedi) and ACROSS THE POND (M Michel) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WARM RECEPTION (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 600m, ACROSS THE POND (M Michel), which commenced to over-race, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of BAKWENA (K de Melo). c) Shortly before the finish line, BAKWENA (K de Melo) was brushed out by GERBERA (C Zackey), which shifted out marginally away from the crop. d) Jockey C Habib reported that STREISAND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WARM RECEPTION (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
