THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GENOVEFA (M Yeni) reared in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) PANTHERA UNCIA (C Habib) was nervous in the stalls. c) JUST ONE KISS (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. d) PHYSIOLOGUS (K Minnie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h14) b) Permission was granted for GENOVEFA (M Yeni) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) BLOWIN IN THE WIND (W Agrella) bolted the course and was withdrawn. This caused a delay to the start of this race as the starting stalls had to be positioned on the track. d) The start of this race was further delayed to allow time for the betting public to restructure their bets. e) Shortly after the start FULL OF MAGIC (*B Soodoo) had to steady when squeezed between PENNY'S WORLD (*J Botes), which jumped outwards and HOPE CHEST (C Little), which jumped inwards. f) JUST ONE KISS (R Fourie) was bumped out by PITON DE NEIGE (JR Syster) shortly after the start. g) PENNY'S WORLD (*J Botes) was hanging in from the 300m and was corrected shortly before the finish line. h) JET SET RUN (J Gates) continuously shifted inwards from the 300m and was corrected shortly before the finish line. i) Apprentice J Botes (PENNY'S WORLD) and Jockey C Habib (PANTHERA UNCIA) reported that these fillies did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer WGC Miller was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. j) JET SET RUN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
