HE STARTER REPORTED: a) ONCIDIUM (A Fortune) and DIAMOND BOMBER (A Domeyer) made contact leaving the stalls. b) RED CORAL (K de Melo) and ZENA'S ACT (M Yeni) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ONCIDIUM (A Fortune) was hanging out in the straight and was allowed to shift outwards and finish its race on the outside of the racecourse. b) BOOZY SUZIE (R Fourie) was hanging out from the 400m and had to be straightened on two occasions. c) In view of the performance of ZENA'S ACT (M Yeni), which raced in advance of the field in the early and middle stages and was hanging out in the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey K de Melo reported that RED CORAL tired quickly in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) DIAMOND BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised.
