THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILENT FUTURE (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ELUSIVE CHARM (N Klink), FLYING ON MY MIND (*K J Lihaba) and OVER SENSIBLE (J R Syster) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In the parade ring, prior to the running of Race 5, Jockey J Mariba (OVER SENSIBLE) advised the Stewards that he was feeling unwell and requested medical attention. A replacement rider was sought, and Jockey J Mariba was escorted to the medical centre. He was treated by the Course Medical Officer for dizziness after his fall in Race 4 and subsequently stood down. Rule 25.12 was applied. b) EMERALD CITY (M Yeni) shifted in away from the crop from the 300m to the 200m. c) In view of the performance of ELUSIVE CHARM (N Klink), (distance 24,50 lengths, betting 16/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of FLYING ON MY MIND (*K J Lihaba), (distance 25,10 lengths, betting 125/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Habib reported that FUTURE SUCCESS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) EUPHRATES (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
