STRAWBERRYPOPTART shifted out away from the crop at the 300m. In the concluding stages, STRATPLAN DORA was carried in by SIGMA ALPHA, which shifted in to continue his run. In the pull up area, Jockey Dillon (STRATPLAN DORA) suffered a severe case of dehydration and became incapacitated. Consequently he could not weigh in. The Board deemed his weight correct. Apprentice Zuma (WYLIE'S WONDER) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. PARKDALE was presented in the parade ring incorrectly equipped for this Race. Jockey Veale signed an admission of guilt and was fined for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse BRAVE LASS more than 12 times in the entire Race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Veale the Board considered the number of times (19) Jockey Veale struck the horse BRAVE LASS, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey Veale used his crop and his record in relation to this Rule. Jockey Godden signed an admission of guilt and was fined for a contravention read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse STRAWBERRYPOPTART more than 12 times in the entire Race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Godden the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey Godden struck the horse STRAWBERRYPOPTART, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey Godden used his crop and his record in relation to this Rule. SIGMA ALPHA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MISS KYLIE raced with alumites. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey Dillon stood down due to dehydration. Vet: CORAL CLIFF - mouth injury Scratched: DUCHESS OF MALFI - cut into right hind. MARRY IN HASTE - injured eye and was withdrawn.
