THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE STARTING STALLS HAVING TO BE REPOSITIONED ON THE TRACK.
THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FLOWER FESTIVAL (L Mxothwa) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer S B Kotzen was advised (DK).
b) BOSNAY (*G Dookhit) was stubborn loading.
b) GREENLIGHT DANCER (*B Soodoo) was nervous and reared in the stalls.
c) EAST COAST GIRL (C Habib) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter slow, losing one length.
d) GREENLIGHT SKYE (C Little) was slow, losing one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. (14h09)
b) Permission was granted for EAST COAST GIRL (C Habib) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c) Leaving the 300m, BACK FOR MORE (R Fourie) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between SUN SPECTACULAR (M Yeni), which rolled in, and EAST COAST GIRL (C Habib), which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to FLOWER FESTIVAL, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion.
Suspension dates: 20 December 2025 to 26 December 2025. FLOWER FESTIVAL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S B Kotzen was advised.
e) LADY BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
