GURU'S PRIDE lost one length. AFRICAN SUNRISE AND HEROIC DEED shifted in to continue their runs on two occasions between the 300m and 200m. Jockey de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with THEMBA in the running and did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages. Jockey Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with LESLIE SHADOWLINER in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine GURU'S PRIDE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The ownership of PRESUMPTUOUS should read: Mr Marlon Govender & Dr D Sundrum; and the Colours are: white, broad red stripe, black braces, white sleeves, black chevrons, red cuffs, white cap, black star & peak. Vet: THEMBA and LESLIE SHADOWLINER - nothing obvious detected. FIORANO - coughing.
