THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BORN OF FIRE (+W Bambiso) was restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly outwards, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) SICILY (+B Ncwadi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Work Rider B Thwalani was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Racing Operators Condition 2.1.14, in that he used his crop on GALACTUS without having both hands on the reins. Work Rider B Thwalani signed an admission of guilt and was suspended for one (1) Work Rider's race. (dates to be advised) b) Work Rider L Mojodino was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride AYA'S DREAM out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining 4th place. Work Rider L Mojodino signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended for two (2) Work Rider races. (dates to be advised) c) In view of the performance of RACHETTU (+L Burke), which was steadied when awkwardly placed between the heels of GALACTUS (+B Thwalani) and ROYAL CLINTON (+L Coleman), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BORN OF FIRE (+W Bambiso), Trainer GS Kotzen will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) FINAL CALL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
