THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process the bridle on PLAZA ACCORD (K de Melo) became loose and had to be refitted. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) During the loading process GOLDEN RULE (T Godden) became restless and nudged the front gates open marginally prematurely as the start was effected. The Board was satisfied that GOLDEN RULE (T Godden) had gained no advantage and therefore took no further action. b) In the concluding stages ROSH KEDESH (C Zackey) was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of SERPENTINE FIRE (M V'Rensburg) and ICY BLAST (M Michel) which were carried in by GOLDEN RULE (T Godden) which commenced to hang in from the 350m. c) Jockey S Veale reported that he felt something amiss in the running with MIKE'S MAZARIN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) GOLDEN RULE (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer V Beets acting on behalf of Trainer P B Muscutt was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey K Matsunyane (JULIET TANGO) weighed out at 52.7kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight (declared 24.12.2025/12h09). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) MIKE'S MAZARIN : Not striding out right hind. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS : DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
