THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NIGHT IN JAPAN (*G Dookhit) stood as the start was effected, losing six lengths. b) LANA VIEW (Y Ramzan) jumped awkwardly. c) MISS MACKIE (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h06) b) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to NIGHT IN JAPAN (*G Dookhit) in stall gate 5 and established that any loss of ground was as a result of its own behaviour. In view of the report from the Starter regarding NIGHT IN JAPAN (*G Dookhit), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/12/2025 to 05/01/2026 inclusive) NIGHT IN JAPAN may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) In view of the performance of KITTEN TATTOO (S Khumalo), which over raced in the early and middle stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) LYRICS AND SONGS (S Naidoo) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m and was corrected at the 200m. e) NIGHT IN JAPAN (*G Dookhit) shifted in away from the crop at the 200m. f) SALAGADOOLA (X Ndlovu) was carried out by POTENZA (C Zackey), which was hanging out from the 150m. g) POTENZA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
