THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAIGON SUZIE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h23) b) Permission was granted for GENOVEFA (L Mxothwa) and CITY OF DREAMS (M Yeni) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. d) Jockey X Ndlovu was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline 3; Appendix E) in that he mis-used his crop by striking DUPONT EMERALD in front of the saddle leaving the 200m. Jockey X Ndlovu signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00. e) GENOVEFA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
