THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GRAND APPEAL (C Murray) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) SAIL TO THE MOON (T Godden) hung in from the 150m. b) In view of the performance of LAKE COMO (K Matsunyane) (15.30 lengths and 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey C Murray (GRAND APPEAL) signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of GRAND APPEAL misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (16) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race.
