THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHIRLYBIRD (*S Bungane) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) PREDATRICE (M Michel) proved difficult to settle in the early stages and thereafter compounded in the straight. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Approaching the finish QUEEN FENN (A Mgudlwa), which rolled in, was carried out by DAWN SURPRISE (R A Venniker) which shifted out sharply away from the crop and was corrected. d) Jockey J Jacobs reported that he felt something amiss in the running with GREENLIGHT QUEEN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of QUENTASIA (*M Mbuto) (8.10 lengths, 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) DAWN SURPRISE (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
