THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h45) b) TRES CHIC (*E Muller) raced wide on the turn and into the straight. c) At the 400m ACT OF GRACE (C Little) rolled in and brushed LOVERS LANE (C Zackey). d) Apprentice N Yuen reported that MONT LOISIR took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey C Bantam was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on TRES CHIC, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which resulted in a change of Rider. Jockey C Bantam signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. f) LOVERS LANE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PD Reeves was advised.
