THE STARTER REPORTED: a) On arrival at the start, MALIBU BLITZ (C Habib) slipped its bridle, broke free, bolted the course, was taken in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) SAACHI ONE (C Little) was reluctant to load. c) STAR WORLD (R Fourie) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h52) b) In a tightly bunched field approaching the 1000m, TOKYO PRINCESS (R Piechulek) had to ease when tightened for galloping room on the inside of GOT THE LOOK (JP van der Merwe), which rolled in away from the heels of WYZE DECLARATION (A Fortune).TRUE HORIZON (M Yeni), which was following, had to steady as a consequence. c) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with GOT THE LOOK. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SAACHI ONE (C Little), Trainer L Woodruff will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) WYZE DECLARATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) A Fortune rode WYZE DECLARATION. (declared 16h17 on 20260121) (Jockey A Domeyer stood down by the Medical Officer.
