THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PARLIAMENT SQUARE (*G Samo-Burthia) lost 5 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) At the 400m HEAVEN'S WILL (*M Mbuto) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of EMOYENI (C Murray) which shifted out entering the straight. Jockey C Murray appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is clear of other runners when shifting ground in races in future. b) In view of the performance of PHAKA IMALI (S Veale) (15.55 lengths, 25/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PARLIAMENT SQUARE (*G Samo-Burthia), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 29.01.2026 to the 04.02.2026). PARLIAMENT SQUARE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G B Puller will be advised. d) PROFESSOR LUPIN (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia (PARLIAMENT SQUARE) weighed out at 50.3kg and was only able to claim 2kg of his 2.5kg Apprentice allowance (advised 26.01.2026/08h11).
