THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STU'S GIRL (*B Soodoo) jumped inwards and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h29) b) Permission was granted for CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS (C Zackey) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) PENNY'S WORLD (Y Ramzan) shifted in away from the crop at the 200m. d) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with FREE WORLD. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. FREE WORLD (L Mxothwa) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers) e) Jockey C Little reported that he felt something amiss with ARE YOU SURE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) CAPE CAPRI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised.
