THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) ST HARRY (AUS) (C Zackey) was stubborn loading.
b) RABDAN (R Piechulek), QUERARI DANCER (M Yeni) and WARRIOR OF DESTINY (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length.
c) VIBE CHECK (S Veale) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In the concluding stages, VIBE CHECK (S Veale), which raced green, shifted out sharply and had to be straightened.
b) CAPTAIN'S ANGEL (G Lerena) raced green.
c) Jockey C Zackey reported that ST HARRY (AUS) made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d) In view of the performance of CHAMPAGNE CASTLE (R Fourie), which raced prominently and tired quickly in the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e) The saddle on QUERARI DANCER (M Yeni) slipped back in running. This was confirmed on the patrol film.
f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding ST HARRY (AUS) (C Zackey), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 01/02/2026 to 07/02/2026, both dates inclusive) ST HARRY (AUS) may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g) RED SPICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Steyn was advised. (TJ)

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) ST HARRY (AUS) - examined post-race. Abnormal respiratory noise.
b) CHAMPAGNE CASTLE - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
