THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DUMBLEDORE (G Lerena) and GALLIC DREAM (RA Venniker) made contact leaving the stalls. b) ROYAL AUSSIE (R Piechulek) and GREAT PLAINS (A Fortune) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h00) b) O'TENIKWA (S Moodley) over raced at the front of the field in the early and middle stages. c) At the 750m BILLY BOWLEGS (*S Bungane) brushed the inside running rail and was momentarily unbalanced. d) POWERANDTHEGLORY (M Yeni) was hanging out from the 300m. e) In the concluding stages GALLIC DREAM (RA Venniker) and SCOTTISH KISS (JP van der Merwe) were carried out by SNOW PILOT (R Fourie), which shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened. f) In view of the performances of GEM KING (C Orffer) and GREAT PLAINS (A Fortune), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. g) SNOW PILOT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (ZM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) TENANGO raced with a tongue tie. (declared 10h01 on 20260129) b) POWERANDTHEGLORY raced without blinkers. (declared 16h11 on 20260128) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TENANGO: Messrs T Gujadhur, R M Sewgoolam & Wernars Family Colours: White, black fleur de lys, red sleeves, black collar and cuffs, black and white striped cap.
