THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAI SENSATION (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h28) b) Shortly after the start BABELICIOUS (G Lerena) was squeezed out when tightened for galloping room between WILD APPLAUSE (M Yeni) and BE MERRY (A Fortune), when both horses shifted ground marginally. c) Jockey P Mxoli reported that GOODNESSGRACIOUSME made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockeys C Murray (CALL ME SECRET) and K de Melo (TANNERON) reported they felt something amiss with these fillies. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of BE MERRY (A Fortune), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) BABELICIOUS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
