THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SABRAGE (C Maujean) was stubborn loading. b) TRURO LEGACY (K Matsunyane) was restless in the stalls. c) OLYMPIC ADMIRAL (*M Mbuto) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) MUSICAL WARFARE (R Danielson) stumbled shortly after the start. c) Jockey C Habib (MONKEY'S WEDDING) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SABRAGE (C Maujean) took a number of awkward strides in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SPACE MISSION (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MONKEY'S WEDDING blowing post-race; slow to recover. b) SABRAGE not striding out right hind. c) JAWBREAKER bilateral nasal discharge. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
