PALO ALTO was nervous in the stalls. CRUZ GIOVANNI was slow into stride. JAY'S HAWK was nervous in the stalls and reared at the off. At the 700m, CRUZ GIOVANNI was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of SETTLEMENT DAY. Thereafter, this gelding shifted out to continue his run at the 150m. Jockey Zechner reported that CRUISE CRUZ made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. SETTLEMENT DAY shifted out away from the crop at the 200m. OKAVANGO DELTA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CRUZ GIOVANNI raced without cheek pieces. Vet: CRUISE CRUZ - nothing obvious detected.
