THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOL E SOMBRA (*M Mbuto) and NATHAN DETROIT (N Patel) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) WINDING POWER (*D Pillay) hung out around the turn and thereafter commenced to hang in from the 300m. c) WHATASTAR (S Moodley) hung in from the 300m. d) Jockey C F Dicken (HIGHER LOVE) accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. e) Jockey R A Venniker reported that she felt something amiss in the running with THIRTEEN FOURTEEN. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning THIRTEEN FOURTEEN, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
