The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HAPPY FORTUNE (R A Venniker) stood, losing 7 lengths. b) POURSOMESUGARONME (T Godden) became restless as the start was effected, fly-jumped leaving the stalls and thereafter stumbled and lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) The Stewards reviewed the start of this race where it was established that HAPPY FORTUNE (R A Venniker) stood, and lost 7 lengths, and POURSOMESUGARONME (T Godden) fly-jumped and stumbled badly upon exiting the stalls, losing ground to the field. c) In view of the performance of POURSOMESUGARONME (T Godden) (7.10 lengths, 25/2 in the betting), the Veterinary was requested to examine. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HAPPY FORTUNE (R A Venniker), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 07.02.2026 to the 13.02.2026). HAPPY FORTUNE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D W Moore will be advised. e) DE VLUGGE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G I Rich was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil.
