THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MANZ KNIGHT (*M Mbuto) was slow, losing two lengths. b) MY QUEEN AMANAT (M K Katjedi) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) SCARLET O'HARA (J R Syster) shifted in away from the crop from the 300m. c) VIXENINTHEVINEYARD (K Matsunyane) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 200m. d) Apprentice M Mbuto reported that MANZ KNIGHT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SCARLET O'HARA (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
