THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HONG KONG (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) MALIBU (M Yeni) was slow, losing one length. c) MISS SCALETTA (P Mxoli) and CARE FORGOT (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, JUNIPER GREEN (*B Marx-Jacobson) was encouraged forward and raced in advance of the field and thereafter tired badly from the 200m. c) Approaching the 200m, THAT'S MY BABY (M Michel) was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed between HONG KONG (G Lerena) and JUNIPER GREEN (*B Marx-Jacobson), which had come to the end of its run, and rolled out. Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson appeared before the Board and was advised to be more mindful of the pace being set in the early and middle stages of races and to try ensure that his mounts remain competitive until the end of the race. d) In view of the performance of JUNIPER GREEN (*B Marx-Jacobson), (distance 10,60 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey M Yeni reported that MALIBU made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) CARE FORGOT (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) JUNIPER GREEN: Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson weighed out at 50,3g, only claiming 3,5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) THAT'S MY BABY raced equipped with ear muffs (declared 11 February 2026 at 09H56). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) JUNIPER GREEN examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. b) MALIBU blowing post-race. SCRATCHED: a) POINTER infection right hind (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies).
