THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREENLIGHT DANCER (*J Botes) reared in the stalls and jumped awkwardly, losing one length. b) OLIVE OYL (R Fourie) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h57) b) Permission was granted for BLIND FAITH (E Webber) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races. d) GREENLIGHT DANCER (*J Botes) over raced in the early and middle stages. e) DARLING GIRL (*N Nastili) was directed outwards on two occasions to obtain clear running between the 300m and the 100m. f) SPOIL YOURSELF (C Little) continually shifted inwards away from the crop from the 200m. g) AMAZING COLOURS (*G Dookhit) shifted inwards sharply at approximately the 100m. h) Trainer DA McKenzie was charged with a contravention of Rule 57.1.4 in that he failed to saddle GREENLIGHT DANCER in the designated saddling area without obtaining the prior permission of the Stipendiary Stewards. Trainer DA McKenzie signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000,00 of which R500.00 is suspended for a period of one year. i) SPOIL YOURSELF, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM) j) TORI'S GIRL, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
