THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h36) b) Shortly after the start HER WORLD (*B Plaatjies) was brushed on the hindquarters by RED CORAL (*S Bungane), which shifted out slightly. c) OCOTILLO (L Mxothwa) was hanging out in the early stages and, as a consequence, raced wide without cover until approaching the 800m. d) At the 200m SPIRIT OF LEVANA (C Little) was held up and had to be directed outwards. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that ELUSIVE GIFT, which over raced at the front of the field in the early and middle stages, did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) AMAYAH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised.
