THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHERLOCK HOLMES (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. Trainer A P Peter was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT). b) STAGE ONE (M Michel) was stubborn loading. c) GUS ON THE BUS (J Mariba) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) CRIMSON CLOVER (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Shortly after the start, PRAYERSANDPROMISES (R Munger) was bumped in by GUS ON THE BUS (J Mariba), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) In the concluding stages, EHHFIFTEENKJOE (S Khumalo) was carried out marginally by DEAR DOC (R Danielson), which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately corrected. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that BIG JOHN MAC choked up in the running.
