JUSTFORTHEEPENNY and WILLIAMS LAND were slow into stride. Shortly after the start, NEWS STREAM and HIGH VOLTAGE came together and bumped. As a consequence of this incident, Apprentice Jacobs was dislodged from HIGH VOLTAGE, medically indisposed and was unable to weigh back in. Accordingly, the Board acting in terms of Rule 66.2 deemed his weight to be correct. In view of the performance of WAVE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. WILLIAMS LAND was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: WAVE - not striding out right hind. Scratched: PEARL OF ASIA - not striding out right hind, withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
