THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OUR LADY FATE (J Jacobs) and FINE WINE (*D D Louw) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 1700m ARCTIC FURY (*M Mbuto) was carried out by SASCHA'S DREAM (R A Venniker) which over-raced and shifted out sharply. c) Leaving the 400m Jockey J Jacobs lost the footing to his right-side stirrup iron, which he was unable to regain. d) FINE WINE (*D D Louw) and SASCHA'S DREAM (R A Venniker) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) In view of the performance of ARCTIC FURY (M Michel) (8.15 lengths, 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) FINE WINE (*D D Louw) ran in the incorrect colours (to be investigated). g) ZENA ROSE (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
