THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROMILLY (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls. b) KWAGGA BLITZ (C Habib) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) BLAZE A WAY (J Gates) was slow, losing three lengths. d) ROCKAROUNDTHECLOCK (M Yeni), ROMILLY (K de Melo) and READY SET FIRE (S Moodley) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) In view of the performance of BELIEVE IN FATE (M Michel), (distance 6,00 lengths, betting 28/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of BLAZE A WAY (J Gates), (distance 12,25 lengths, betting 150/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with ARASHI in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey P Mxoli reported that SUNSET WARRIOR changed stride continually in running.
