The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIWA'S FLIGHT (*M Mbuto), LILTING SONG (C Little), VAANS SPIRIT (K de Melo) and CALI BULLET (S Khumalo) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) FUTURE PROSPECT (S Moodley) over-raced in the early stages. c) In view of the performance of CALI BULLET (S Khumalo) which tired rapidly and was not persevered with from the 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) PRAISE DE LA REY (N Patel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
