THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) RADU (K Matsunyane) stumbled shortly after the start. c) At the 1200m THE QUEEN BEE (C F Dicken), which over raced in the early and middle stages, was eased when close to the heels of SNEEUWITJIE (*D D Louw) which shifted in. d) Apprentice D D Louw was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of SNEEUWITJIE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to THE QUEEN BEE (C F Dicken) at the 1200m. Apprentice D D Louw signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days (Dates to be advised). e) RUN FOR PEACE (*M Mbuto) hung in from the 500m. f) At the 300m ROY TAKING OFF (M Michel) which hung in from the 350m, was directed to the outside of THE QUEEN BEE (C F Dicken) to continue its run. g) LILAC IN WINTER (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
